About Bahamas
The Bahamas is an island archipelago consisting of around 2,000 islands found in the Atlantic Ocean close to the Caribbean Sea. The inhabitants of the islands are famous for being friendly and welcoming, and with the one of the highest ratios of churches per capita in the world, the Bahamas is often more religious than many visitors might expect.
The area enjoys an interesting blend of musical styles from the surrounding islands such as calypso, soca and rake & scrape. While the beaches are perfect for relaxing and engaging in a wide range of watersports and fishing, there are also some interesting cultural things to see and do, such as the Pompey Museum of Slavery and Emancipation.
