About Botswana
Botswana is a landlocked country in the centre of Southern Africa which borders South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Namibia, with an economy fuelled by tourism, particularly in its game reserves, and its rich diamond resources. The country is a good option for anyone who has an interest in spotting wildlife, whether this is in the Kalahari Desert or in the Okavango-Chobe region, where much of the country’s game lives.
It is rapidly gaining in popularity as a tourist destination, where the tourism industry appears to be focusing more on the higher end of the travel spectrum with conservation tours and safaris being a common choice of trip. Botswana is also home to the world’s largest inland delta, the Okavango, which is home to a huge variety of wildlife who flock to the water in the middle of the arid desert.
