About Brazil
Brazil is the fifth largest country in the world, and the largest in South America, and is an amazingly diverse country with a large stretch of coastline and the vast Amazon rainforest. The country is home to bright, vibrant cities, breath-taking nature and spectacular sites of worldwide interest.
Even the favelas attract tourists who want to find out how real Brazilians live as a community. One of Brazil’s greatest attractions is its yearly carnival in Rio de Janeiro, where thousands of people dress up in vivid outfits and dance to high-energy music through the city. While Brasilia is the capital, many of the famous sights are to be seen elsewhere. For example, Sao Paulo is the largest city in Brazil, and is considered a cultural melting pot, and Rio de Janeiro is home to the world famous giant statue of Jesus upon Corcovado Hill.
